PARABOND 606 BL is a specially designed cold applied liquid waterproofing membrane produced from a blend of special resin/rubber, reinforced with special water repelling fillers, mineral stabilizer & gelling agent. Its unique formula makes it more durable than normal asphalt coating & lasts longer.
The product finds use in waterproofing of concrete roofs, PU foam slabs, polyester built up roofs, maintenance of existing roofs, masonry and concrete walls, sunk portions in bathroom , basements, bridges, decks, metal surfaces etc. Also used as a sandwich membrane in new construction and as surface treatment on existing slabs.
Surface should be clean free of dirt, gravel, dust and oil. The concrete surface should be dry and smooth. Repair the roof of all blisters, cracks, split seams and flashing before coating. Apply primer first when applying directly over concrete, old /dry asphalt.
Prime the prepared surface with PARABOND 606 BL water diluted in the ratio of 1:2. Post drying of primer, apply 1st & succeeding coats. Apply by use of standard roofing brooms, brushes, squeegees or airless spray equipment. Check the viscosity to ensure smooth spray of the product. Allow full curing of each coat (approx 8 – 10 hours) before applying next coat. Reinforcing with Glass Fibre Mesh will yield better results. Reinforcement is to be embedded into 1st Coat while it is still wet. The product is water dilutable. One can dilute with water upto 20% for 1st coat & upto 10% for 2nd coat.
Approximate coverage for 1 coat application is around 40-50 sq. ft / kg in Metals ; 30-40 sq. ft / kg in Asbestos & 25-30 sq. ft in Concrete depending on surface porosities. 2 coats of application should generally return DFT of approx 200-300 microns. For higher DFT use extra coats.

Shelf life is 12 months in unopened container. Store away from sunlight and preferably below 30oC. Storage should be frost protected
Tools: Clean all the tools immediately with water. Hands: Use a hand cleaner/water followed by soap. Use of suitable thinner for cleaning is required after drying.
Exercise caution and use protective clothing such as gloves and goggles. Inhalation of vapor or mist should be avoided. If inhaled symptoms include coughing, wheezing, laryngitis, and shortness of breath, headache, nausea, and vomiting. Immediately shift victim to fresh air & if need be start artificial respiration. Give oxygen if breathing is labored & call emergency medical help. In case of eye contact flush with water for 15 minutes and call for medical help. If swallowed will cause nausea, vomiting, and loss of consciousness. Do not induce vomiting rather call for medical help. If contact with skin flush with water/soap & water until all traces are removed. Seek medical attention if required.
